How CS2 eDPI works
Multiply mouse DPI by your CS2 base sensitivity. A player at 400 DPI and 2.0 sensitivity uses 800 eDPI; 800 DPI and 1.0 produces the same eDPI. This makes Counter-Strike setups easy to compare inside the game.
cm/360 adds a physical interpretation: how far the mouse moves for a complete turn. That helps when changing DPI or converting from another supported FPS.
Why there is no single best CS2 eDPI
Counter-Strike rewards precise crosshair placement and small corrections, but matches also demand fast clearing and occasional wide transfers. Mouse shape, grip, pad space and role change the balance. A professional player’s setting is a reference point, not a diagnosis.
If a value forces repeated lifts, strains your arm or slows necessary transfers, theoretical stability does not make it a better fit.
Test the decision, not the feeling
- Scan active DPI and polling behavior.
- Keep the current value as the control.
- Compare a meaningfully lower and higher condition.
- Use identical task order and timing.
- Look at combined performance instead of one personal best.

CS2 sensitivity mistakes to avoid
- Changing DPI and in-game sensitivity at the same time without recording the old eDPI.
- Comparing only flick speed and ignoring stopping accuracy.
- Judging a new value during a cold start.
- Copying a rifler or AWPer without considering role and pad space.
- Making tiny daily changes that never receive a fair test.
Moving between VALORANT and CS2
Use the converter to preserve cm/360 when moving between the games. Treat that result as a starting point. Different movement, field-of-view behavior and engagement patterns may justify a different final choice.
